* BOO HOO Party BOO HOO Party
BOO HOO Saturday, Feb. 6, 23:59 Südblock, Admiralstr. 1-2 KABLAM TAMI TAMAKI (live) SEB ZIÚR JOEY HANSOM Our first party of 2016 also serves as our first anniversary. But instead of focusing on self-congratulation, let's just skip right to the talent, which is much more exciting... KABLAM first turnt our eardrums a few years back as part of the Janus crew. More recently, she has released a track on Staycore, remixed Dan Bodan, toured with Evian Christ and probably done a lot of other impressive stuff that we don't even know about. Listening to her adventurous DJ sets is like licking a blue raspberry battery, except for the fact that it's actually possible. TAMI TAMAKI is a soft and sensual, horny and hardcore DIY EDM artiste who sings, makes beats and plays a bejeweled keyboard. Her brand of Scandinavian J-Pop has won over thousands of screaming teeny-boppers of all ages, and her songs have been featured in a number of feature-length films—one, to be exact. This is her first Berlin appearance since playing at New York's legendary performance space The Kitchen last year. SEB is one-third of kick-ass music collective Tropical Waste, based in London. There they host regular parties and a radio show on NTS, featuring all sorts of new and twisted club sounds, exactly the kind that makes us gasp. The lineup is completed by our resident DJs ZIÚR—who released a new single and went on tour with Peaches in December—and JOEY HANSOM—who found ten euros on the ground last week, just laying there on the sidewalk in broad daylight, can you believe it?
