Clinton? Obama? Wählt Missy!

Hallo Leute,

vor ein paar Wochen haben wir – Steffi Lohaus, Sonja Eismann und Chris Köver – beschlossen ein Magazin zu gründen, ein intelligentes Frauenmagazin vergleichbar mit der amerikanischen Bust. Weil es so ein Magazin hierzulande bislang nicht gibt und weil es unserer Meinung nach dringend gebraucht wird.

Das Magazin soll Missy heißen und auf den ganzen Diät- und Wie-Angel-Ich-Mir-Nen-Mann-Kram verzichten, dafür schreiben wir über Popkultur, Politik und Style aus einer dezidiert feministischen Perspektive.

Die große Frage ist natürlich die Finanzierung. Um die ersten Ausgabe zu bezahlen, nehmen wir derzeit am „Hobnox Evolution Contest“ teil. Wenn wir es unter die ersten drei schaffen, haben wir eine Chance, die Jury von unserer Idee zu überzeugen und 25.000 Euro für das Projekt zu gewinnen.

Der Wettbewerb läuft noch bis diesen Freitag, den 8.2.08 um 23:30. Und jetzt seit ihr dran: Stimmt für uns. Wir sind bereits auf Platz 2, aber um unseren Platz im Finale zu sichern, brauchen wir noch etwa 100 Stimmen.

Hi all,

a couple of weeks ago Steffi Lohaus, Sonja Eismann and I have decided to found a German language magazine for women that should be similar to Bust – simply because nothing like it exists here and a mag like this is desperately needed.

It will be called „Missy“ and it will deal with none of the crap regular women’s magazines feed to us (along the lines of „how to become fabulously thin and find your dream boy“). Instead, we will write about pop culture, politics, and style from a decidedly feminist perspective – and with a sassy approach.

The problem is, as always, the funding. This is why we took part in a contest to win a grant.

The „Hobnox Evolution Contest“ will be running until Feb 08, 11.30 pm and if we end up among the first three, we will have the chance to convince a jury and win 25.000 Euros!

And now it is your turn – to vote for us! We are already on rank 2 and if we get about 100 more votes until Friday night, we should still be among the first three.
